TTOS & LOTS 2013 Annual Convention Kicks Off

This week the city of Reno Nevada will be welcoming railroaders from across the globe to the fun-filled Lionel Operating Trains Society and Toy Train Operating Society Annual 2013 Convention.

The convention will bring together numerous enthusiasts and offers a slate of wonderful railroad-themed activities for its attendees throughout the weekend. DASH will be joining in on the convention happenings, and we can't wait to see countless railroaders descending on the city to celebrate our hobby. If you're still looking for more information on the show or considering a club membership with either society, the following links will get you on track.

The following summary of the convention from the organizers will give you a great preview of the show.
It’s time to make your summer vacation plans! This year’s Annual LOTS and TTOS Conventions take both clubs to Reno, Nevada. From July 7 - 13, 2013, attendees will experience all the Reno-Tahoe region has to offer. The added magic of visiting train related and non-train related sites with like-minded club Members from LOTS and TTOS in one of “America’s Adventure Places” is sure to be a good “BET” for all. We invite LOTS and TTOS Members to join us. Some Members come for the week and some Members come only for a long weekend.

Although the convention has already started, things really kick off with tomorrow's LOTS and TTOS Welcome Party at The National Automobile Museum. As fantastic as the Welcome Party promises to be, it's just the beginning. There are numerous fun activities, tours, and shopping opportunities planned throughout the busy weekend. It's a railroader's dream weekend, and it couldn't be in a more beautiful and exciting part of the country.

If you have a chance to be a part of this grand event, you should definitely take it! Although the convention is just now getting up a head of steam, it's not hard to tell that LOTS, TTOS, and Reno have a hit on their hands
