Athearn's May Announcements Listed

Athearn's extended delays finally seem to be behind them, and they've arrived with a new round of product announcements for the month of May. 

If you've been patiently awaiting the return of the manufacturer's monthly announcements, you can finally rest easy. They've revealed a huge lineup of new cars available for pre-order through May 24th. The SD40-2's price drop is both welcome and significant, dropping from $ 155 to $ 135. That's something you don't see too often these days, but something to which most enthusiasts could certainly get accustomed. 

The preview images included at Athearn's website are gorgeous, but I can't wait until we see some actual prototypes. There's nothing like seeing those cars come to life for the first time. These releases are all slated to arrive in January 2014, and it'll be refreshing if they actually arrive on time. Just be sure to get your pre-orders in before time runs out!
